OPPORTUNITIES
  HR Certification and Recertification

Congratulations to Greg Mulgrave, SPHR, and all members who have earned their certification.

Registration for the December/January testing opened July 7 and the deadline to submit your application is October 10, 2008 to avoid late registration fees. Go to www.hrci.org for more information on the certification process.

For HR professionals who are already certified and need recertification hours, HRCI has added an online directory where you can search for pre-approved programs. Go to www.hrci.org, then select Pre-Approval Programs along the top tab, then select Searchable Directory of Approved Events. You can select by credit type, location and type of activity.

New this year; recertification credit is available for taking the course for those already certified!

• Each module: 2.5 actual contact hours (class is 3 hours with 2-15 min. breaks)
• Overall program: 32.5 actual contact hours (this is based upon 13 weeks times 2.5)

Volunteer for the Habitat build on November 14th and 15th. The four half-day shifts have been posted on our calendar, so go to calendar now to join your fellow BGSHRM members and make things happen!
